In this day and age, it is important to consider the various ways of reinventing our household stuff before throwing them away. Perhaps there are some materials in the stuff you are attempting to throw away that can still be useful outdoors or indoors. This time, find out how you can make outdoor decorations from recycled materials.
1. Wood barrel planter from old shipping crates.
Large shipping crates can be turned into big wood barrel planters. Plant rose bushes here and place them on the sides of your garden or at the front of your property. You can leave the shipping crates in their natural wood state or paint them with a different color.
2. Old bicycle turned into a fetching planter.
Got some of those old vintage bicycles with a basket in front? Use the basket in front as a planter. Plant some flowers. Also add potted flowers on the seat and the back of the bicycle. Display it on your garden for a vintage appeal.
3. Hanging planter made from old felt material.
If you are a self-confessed DIY-er, you probably have a lot of leftover textile such as felt. You can actually cut it up in a circular shape. Pull the two edges together and punch a hole. Punch in metal holder on the holes. Loop wires in the two holes to create a hanging planter. Now you can use this to create a hydroponic garden.
4. Old couch springs turned into plant labels.
Couch springs can be used as a clothes rack. But you can also turn them into plant labels. Push them deep in the earth and insert your plant labels on the exposed part of the spring.
5. Old ceramic and glass vases turned into a mosaic decoration.
Get a hammer and pound them into smaller pieces. Arrange them on walls or surface of outdoor tables to turn them into mosaic.
