Lawn Maintenance Tips – Decorating And Gardening Ideas For Big Lawns

Decorating the garden is a fun and enjoyable activity. However, if you are dealing with a big lawn, you might have work cut out for you. The wide expanse of space can be intimidating especially if you have no idea where to start.

When decorating or designing spacious lawns, make sure you divide the areas and create a purpose for each area. Designate a play area for the kids, a relaxing area for the whole family, an outdoor dining or picnic area, a place to plant flowers, a reading area or even an area where you can plant your herbs. This will help make your large outdoor space look a lot more organized. It also helps maximize the space by providing segmentation rather than have one monotonous space.

You can now design your theme based on each area. The area designated for play and recreation can be designed with picturesque swings. Have a small tree planted in this area and put circular benches around the tree. Kids will definitely love to hang out in this area. Adults can use this area to read, relax and organize a picnic with family and friends.

Turn another part into a zen garden. Put outdoor bamboo fountains. Flowing water will create that calm and refreshing look in your outdoor space. Surround it with an assortment of flowering plants or shrubs. Try using decorative rocks and stones as well to mimic the beauty of nature.

For your outdoor eating area, consider tables and chairs made from marble, stones or wrought iron.  This should make the whole area look beautiful. Surround the place with benches so guests can simply relax and unwind in your large outdoor space.
