The bedroom is the place in the home that you can call your personal space. You can retreat to your bedroom to seek comfort and relaxation. Many people also express their own personal style and creativity in their bedroom.

1. For music lovers

Have fun with your vintage records collection. Choose a few of your records and put them up on your wall. You can hang them above your headboard. Display boom boxes. You can actually find vintage-style colorful boom boxes from the thrift store. You can also use record player as a design piece in the room.

Use your old surf boards as headboard. Prop it up on the wall of your bed and push your bed to the wall to lock the surf boards in place. Paint your wall with sea green color or the color of the sky to get that beach, outdoorsy look to it.

You can bring nature inside your bedroom. Hang Christmas lights on your window. At night, they will look like tiny fireflies. Purchase glass  vases and fill them up with fresh flowers. You can also buy potted plants and use them as decorative pieces in the bedroom. Decorate your dresser. Try picking floral or woodsy wallpaper print and wallpaper your dresser. You can also buy faux flowers with long, wired stems from the arts and crafts store and twist it on the headboard of your bed. You can also put an  indoor fountains to get that nature feel in the room.

Buy a headless mannequin and display it in your room. Dress up your mannequin. You can also use your long necklaces or statement necklaces as wall decorations.

5. For artists

Paint a mural on one wall of your bedroom. If not, you can always opt for wall decals.
