Remodeling your bathroom has a lot of roadblocks. One of them is your choice of a sink. You will be surprised to find a myriad of sink designs that weren’t there a few years ago. This might stump you and prevent you from choosing the one more suitable for your bathroom needs.
Aside from getting decorative glass vases or mulling over the idea of adding candle lanterns in the bathroom, you also have to consider what sort of bathroom sink is more ideal for you. Here are some tips you might want to know:
1. Consider the size.
How large a sink do you really need? If you have limited bathroom space, it is more ideal to purchase sinks that can just be installed on the bathroom counter. It will not take up a lot of space. If you have adequate bathroom space, you can opt for stand-alone sinks that also include a storage space underneath.
2. Consider the shape.
There are lots of interesting sink shapes today – from the traditional square or oval-shaped sinks to the inverted domes and even vase-shaped sinks. The sinks can even double as room accents and decorations. You can find those that are shaped like a shell. Find out which shape is more ideal for the design theme in your room.
3. Consider materials.
Are you after a polished contemporary bathroom look? You can opt for those made from stainless steel. You can also opt for clear glass and the traditional ceramic sinks. Sinks made from ceramic are more affordable. Granite and marble sinks are the most expensive but they do inject lots of style in the bathroom. Additionally, they are very durable and they are not as prone to chips and damages like ceramic.
4. Consider what is more fitting for your faucet.
The sink goes hand in hand with the faucet. To get the right look, you have to choose both your faucet and your sink at the same time.
5. Compare price in terms of durability.
Look for sinks that have been built to last
